An Evening with Senator David Pocock

Voices of Bean has been busy all year generating support for the idea of a Community Independent in the Australian Parliament for the electorate of Bean. Canberra has already tasted success in the election of Independent Senator David Pocock, and we’re delighted that he will join us for this discussion.
We’ve had 800 conversations so far with people in Bean – at the shops, doorknocking, in Kitchen Table Conversations and through our online survey – so we’ve heard a lot about why its great to live in this part of Canberra, as well as what could be better and hopes for better representation.
In this event, we’ll present a summary of the issues and ideas we’ve heard in our listening and our events. We’ll hear from Senator Pocock how he is working on these and other issues in the Senate, and how effective Independents can be in creating change. Join us for an inspiring evening of discussion and positive ideas.
